Our new "Competicion" velocity stack is designed to get the most CFM the TB can digest without restriction. The previous set up was a restrictive 3 inch pipe connected to the dual 58mm tb.
Now, combined with an open exhaust set up and a new custom chip the engine response is much crispier.
We tested the velocity stack and the open pipe combo at out last track day and the engine felt more powerful. The rpms climbed noticeably faster on the tach accompanied by a more agressive engine sound. I'm pretty sure the performance increase by the more free-flowing engine contributed to the harmonic balancer coming apart.
No, it doesn't suck hot air. The left louver is sealed with a piece of aluminum sheet extending out to the distributor to keep the hot air of the engine to get sucked by the velocity stack.
Data logging showed a substantial decrease in air temperature compared to the previous set up tested at very similar environments.
