Manual Axles

Anyone have extra manual axles? I'm trying to get to Phantasm Import wars this weekend and need spares just in case. I don't think I'll make it to Pull A Part this week.

The shafts on these Chinese axles are awful. I've broken the aftermarket shafts too often to know that I need to stay away. The warranty is nice, but useless if they snap like twigs. I even broke one on the street the same day I installed it.

I get mine from Advance Auto and they state American made, however there is 2 different shaft diameters the smaller .92 I have busted on the road. the other is 1.02 diameter much stronger it took a hard 2200 RPM clutch drop throttle stomp track launch to snap it and wow did it make a BOOM. I am currently using another set of 1.02 shafts on both sides for about 1 1/2 yrs now putting about 300-ish HP to the ground then and now a proven 353HP to the wheels after some new engine mods. I am not one to pass up a little fun well actually its fun passing them kids up with their "hotrod car" I use my car as it was designed and get heavy footed from time to time. Back to the 2 types of axles its a luck of the draw as to which ones are it the box because there is not part # designation to identify which is which so bring a measuring caliper and start opening boxes.

Well track didn't go as planned. Only managed an 11.5 then broke axle on the very next pass. I loaded it back on the trailer and called it a day... Ah well, maybe 10s next time.

Have you looked into these axles yet, if not maybe you should because I plan to on my next set.
