"Bandwidth exceeded"

Postby Trinten » Tue Jul 23, 2013 7:54 pm

Hi guys,

Well, today we hit the bandwidth limit. I'm working with the host now to see what options are out there, and seeing what tripped it up. I'm wondering if it was our hosting of the photo gallery. If this is true, and as we grow, there is a chance that we may have to drop or put limits on our "in house" photo gallery.

I'm seeing what I can work out with our host.

Yeah,

We wound up going through about 20% of our previously allotted bandwidth in two days. Best guess was that it was spam bots rapidly hitting the site, trying to get past the registration protection.

I've upped our bandwidth with the hosting company, so in theory we shouldn't run into this again anytime soon.
