I have found the time now to also put on a new SFI balancer with a 5% Supercharger over drive adding about 1.5 more lbs of boost, allowing me to reaching my goal of 12 -13 lbs. The S/C belt side is a 8 rib design for those that buy the complete 8 rib supercharger pulley kit because they need the extra belt friction from being above 15 lbs. The center 6 are the correct grooves to run the stock 6 groove belt for alignment or so the instructions say.
Typically when you add this balancer to these engines you will need a oil filter housing adapter plate, about 1/2 "thick spacer with proper oil passage ways cut out. I did not need this plate because my filter housing came off a 3800 equipped Firebird, they already have a larger balancer diameter and only came with a straight out filter do to the cross member they could not go down at any angle. The 2 options for the 3800 FWD are 90* down or the 110* or so down and back towards engine. The Firebird filter housing could allow for a taller filter for those who want more filter size, but you will need to massage the brake line a little to allow for engine movement clearances.
Some where I came across these 42.5 lbs injectors and thought it be time to pull out the old 32 lbs ones because I have reached the end of there usefulness. As I look back I seem to have noticed I never posted anything about the addition of the fuel logs I am using. They like so much of this motor are a ZZPerformance product.
This is the aft fuel log with the new injectors installed (black), the old ones (white) by their side showing size comparison. WOW, the comments, go ahead you people, throw them at me.
These next two were the order mock up photos (not of my motor) taken by Jason for the Fiero applications, because these rails are designed for the Grand Prix GTP and other 3800 II S/C FWD platforms fuel comes in and leaves from different directions and locations
This is the aft bank and fuel log looking towards the front of the car. The 90* tube is the fuel inlet port (only sitting there as a reference point for the mock up) but I went with a AN hose fitting instead of the hard line, easily seen in my other photos
The forward bank and fuel log which houses the pressure regulator looking to the rear or the car
Note: I have the fuel going in the aft log then bridging over to the forward log and out through the pressure regulator always bleeding the system of any air pockets, also I had him mock it with the big intercooler plate because I knew I was going to install it also.
